Each year, a group of 10 girls from Alford Lake Camp in Maine comes to Nova Scotia and a series of trips and programs with the Sea School, which in 2007 included 7 days of sea kayaking, 3 days of surfing lessons, 3 days of yurt building, 10 days of sea chest building, and 21 days sailing aboard the Dorothea.
