Our JOANNA Program
JOANNA is a project undertaken entirely by the Sea School students on their own, with little support from the office. Our Leading Crew and senior students scrape and paint her each year, install a mooring in Halifax and sail whenever they like in the protected waters of the Northwest Arm.
This program is the fruit of the ability to work together and take responsibility that is learned on Sea School expeditions. It’s proof of what Sea School crews can accomplish.
If you would like to sail in JOANNA, or help take care of her, please contact us at the office.
