The Sea School bids farewell to the inspiring Amy Schwartz.
After 4 incredible years as the Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Sea School, Amy Schwartz is moving on to new and exciting life endeavours and leaving her legacy with us.
We are so lucky for the visionary spirit that Amy has brought to the Sea School. She has inspired us all with her determination to impart the wisdom of the school's philosophy and the deep impact the experience has on participants.
With the goal of of making the Sea School a leader in experiential education for Atlantic Canada and positively impacting as many lives as possible, Amy broadened the breadth of our programming to include year-round public and private programs in wilderness camping, surfboard building, art projects, sustainable building projects, farm ethics and a variety of custom programs utilizing the talents of our team of instructors.
Each program has been carefully developed to encourage community development, lasting partnerships and long hours on Amy's part writing grants to ensure that any and all youth and adults could have the opportunity to be a part of the adventure.
Amy departs, leaving us with a strong foundation to continue to positively affect the lives of others and to build a community we are all proud of. We celebrate the great achievements Amy has made and thank her from the bottoms of our sea-faring hearts.
