REVIVE DOROTHEA PROJECT - a vessel for self discovery since 1994
DOROTHEA our first expedition boat founded a whole new kind of learning in Nova Scotia. She is in dire need of repair and new outfitting to make her expedition-worthy. Our goal is to raise $24,700 by summer 2013 so that we can offer youth a unique experieince on an original sailboat built by teenagers. See the Revive Dorothea Project feature article on our blog to learn about Dorothea’s inspiring story and the impact she has made on youth and adults for the last 17 years.
The Sea School is supported by visionary donors who understand that changing the lives of youth is the key to building a strong community. Our supporters make it possible to provide high-impact learning programs for under-resourced communities, groups and individuals. At the Sea School, youth gain life lessons and fundamental skills that they often do not get in their home or school environment. Funding support includes provincial, municipal, private foundations, corporations, and individuals. Visit our supporters page to see a list of our primary funding sources.
Individual contributions are deeply appreciated and essential to our success. Become a supporter and you will help provide deserving youth with a life-changing experience. You can direct your support to our bursary program, boat building programs, surfboard building program, school-based programs, sail-training expeditions, mental health initiatives and youth leadership programs. All contributions are fully tax deductible and you will receive a tax-receipt.
