Welcome to the Sea School!
Our Inclusion Policy
The Sea School aims to offer a safe and inclusive environment to all youth ages 12-18 who are looking for a new adventure.

We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, or ability.

Due to the nature of our programming, our vessels, our staff, and the environment, we may not be able to accept some youth if we are unable to meet their individual needs. This decision will be made on a case-by-case basis in conversation with that youth and their parent(s) or guardian(s). All attempts to accommodate will be made, within reason.

To prioritize inclusion within the Sea School, we:
-
work closely with partners and families to ensure needs are met
-
routinely collect and analyze feedback from our participants
-
set clear expectations before every program
-
train our staff on anti-racism, trauma-informed care, and youth facilitation
-
encourage storytelling and active listening
If you ever experience discrimination or exclusion during a Sea School program, please speak to someone you trust, or reach out to us via phone, email, or through the website.
