1. Inclusion and Access Bursaries

Sea School Funding

The Sea School provides tuition bursaries for young participants from historically underrepresented communities in outdoor recreation programming. This encompasses, but is not restricted to, Indigenous Peoples, Black, Asian, Latinx, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, people experiencing gender barriers, people with disabilities, refugees, immigrants, those from single-parent households, individuals from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and other marginalized communities. Our objective is to foster an inclusive environment where all young people, irrespective of their backgrounds, can participate in outdoor activities.

Please note that the Sea School has very limited funds available for bursaries. We are a charitable nonprofit and ALL of our trips are already subsidized, so we cannot guarantee any support, but we encourage anyone in need of assistance to apply!

Please contact registration@seaschool.org, or call 902-423-7284 and include more details about your circumstances. Your personal information will be kept confidential. There is also space on our registration forms to note that you want to be contacted about tuition assistance.
