What a year it has been - for the Sea School and the world. As we pause to reflect on 2025 while standing on the brink of a new year, it’s clearer than ever that the world needs young leaders who can hold fast and chart a steady course in uncertain times.Despite external storms, we celebrate 2025 as a year of transformation at the Nova Scotia Sea School. We’ve strengthened our foundations while building new momentum for the future through:
A formalized and inspiring partnership with the Boat School at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic;
Fresh energy, expertise and ideas from our new Executive Director, Stephi, and Program Director, Hannah;
Deep youth impact in both our South Shore expeditions and Halifax day programs.
These milestones reflect not just change, but renewal. We remain committed to offering life-changing ocean adventures that help youth discover who they are and what they’re capable of. From sailing and sea kayaking to traditional boatbuilding and day hikes, our programs continue to offer youth the kind of deep learning that only happens through challenge, teamwork, and connection. These experiences build resilience, confidence, and leadership at a time when young people - and the world - needs them most.
With deep gratitude, we seek your support to help us strengthen our impact. Together, we’re building a healthy, sustainable organization ready for the next 30 years of empowering young leaders.
Your support can help us reach our fundraising goal of $30,000 before December 31, 2025.
Thank you for your generosity!
